Willardean Kirby Martin

Funeral services for Willardean Kirby Martin, age 83, of Roanoke will be held on Monday, July 6 at 3 p.m. at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Marty Dunlap officiating.  Burial will follow at Welcome Home Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, July 5 from 5-8 p.m.

Mrs. Martin passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2026, at West Georgia Hospice in LaGrange, Georgia.

Survivors include: one daughter, Davina Storey (Phillip) of Palmetto, GA; two grandchildren, Alice Christina Thompson of Paulding Co., GA, and John Paul Lenox Saling of Riverdale, GA; four great-grandchildren, Desja Meadows, Brianna McKinney, Elijah Thompson, and Kylee Thompson.

Pallbearers will be Robert Barnett, James Kelley, Anthony Thompson, Jeff Kirby, and Chris Kirby.

A Roanoke native, Mrs. Martin was born on February 8, 1943. She was a member of Union Hill Church and was retired from Lockheed Martin.  Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rev. Louie Lenn Martin; brother, Dewey Kirby; and sisters, Dora Elswick and Othel Draper.
