Dylan Thomas Fairbanks

Dylan Thomas Fairbanks, born Dylan Geiger, passed away on June 20, 2026 at the age of 32. Dylan lived a complicated life sprinkled with moments of love and happiness. Dylan had a childhood full of trauma, abuse, and instability. He lived briefly with his biological mother, Charlene Sharon Geiger, before living with his biological grandmother, the late Lorraine M Unger of Plant City, Florida. Dylan was in the foster care system where he was once more met with neglect and abuse. Later, he was adopted by Rick and Tamera Fairbanks. It was at this time he was able to live with his best friends and new brothers Zacharie and Jacob Fairbanks. Unfortunately, Dylan had difficulty assimilating into a traditional family and again became a ward of the State of Florida.

Dylan struggled with addiction from an early age. His life was marked with times of sobriety during which he was known to be a hard worker, loving friend, and resourceful man. Dylan was always ready to work. He had a love for animals and at one point worked with rescue dogs. Dylan’s hobbies included gaming, dumpster diving, and enjoying music.

Dylan was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Lorraine M Unger, and his adoptive father Rick Fairbanks.

Following a graveside service, Dylan will be laid to rest in the Flat Rock Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at 3pm. Pall bearers include, Troy Pope, Greg Bailey, Alto Thompson, Jim Dunn II, Kota Pike, Jerry Thompson, Jeannie Volpe and Dennis Mobley.
