Incidents
April 26 – County Road 460, Woodland
A resident reported hearing a gunshot followed by a dog yelping. When the dog returned, it was limping and had blood on its face, nose, and bottom lip. The resident stated a neighbor frequently shoots and has bragged about killing animals without reason.
April 28 – County Road 133, Wedowee
A complainant reported her ex-husband took her food stamp card from her mailbox, has been using it, and refuses to return it.
April 28 – County Road 82, Morrison’s Crossroads
Morrison’s Crossroads Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire involving tires being burned.
April 29 – Highway 22, Dickert
A complainant reported the theft of a Pringles can containing 20 silver 1965 quarters and 16 1967 quarters. The can was later found in her car with only six of the 1965 quarters remaining. The 1965 quarters are valued at approximately $168, and the 1967 quarters at approximately $4. Suspects were named.
April 29 – County Road 263, Foster’s Crossroads
A workshop window was broken, and several items were stolen, including a Stihl weed trimmer, Stihl handheld blower, an additional weed trimmer, and a Stihl tiller.
April 29 – County Road 271, Corinth North
A Toyota truck was reported stolen.
April 30 – Lakeside Drive, Twin Lakes, Roanoke
A landlord reported two black males in a blue Honda Civic entered a residence while no one was home. They abandoned the vehicle after the vehicle’s tire went flat. The landlord was advised the vehicle could be towed. The landlord also reported that others have been entering the residence while the tenant is away.
May 1 – County Road 59, Woodland
Rock Stand and Tin Shop Volunteer Fire Departments responded to a fire involving a piece of logging equipment.
May 1 – County Road 82, Foster’s Crossroads
A complainant reported being awakened when his door was kicked in. He later discovered his yard had been rolled. He observed an individual run through the yard, get into a vehicle near the bridge, and leave toward DP Oil.
May 2 – Pineywoods, Wedowee
Deputies observed a red Mustang driving aggressively after exiting County Road 4. This vehicle had also been performing donuts on U.S. 431 near County Road 121. Once Deputies activated their lights and sirens, the vehicle was clocked traveling between 86 and 107 mph. The driver turned onto Pineywoods Drive, where the vehicle slid to a stop, and the driver fled on foot. The resident of the address stated she owned the vehicle and she was unaware her cousin had taken the car. The vehicle was towed due to felony eluding charges. The owner filed a report of Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle. Wedowee Police Department assisted. The driver was not located at that time.
May 2 – County Road 451, near Prospect Church
A camper’s window and window air conditioning unit were shot. The resident was also threatened with a shotgun.
May 3 – County Road 39, near Gray Hill Church
A resident reported a black and orange side-by-side entered the yard and spun around, causing damage. A suspect was named.
May 3 – County Road 459, east of Woodland
Woodland and Bethel East Volunteer Fire Departments responded to a fire involving logging equipment. The operator attempted to extinguish the fire prior to their arrival.

Angel Maria Magana, 47, of Roanoke – Trafficking in stolen identities, second-degree theft of property, third-degree theft of property, two counts of identity theft, three counts of third-degree forgery, four counts of fourth-degree theft, and six counts of third-degree possession of a forged instrument – April 28
Ricky Leon Morris, 58, of Woodland – Failure to appear in court (second-degree possession of marijuana, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia) – April 28
Webb Pierce Glass, 61, of Five Points – Fugitive from justice in White County, Georgia, for failure to register as a sex offender – April 29
Desmond Noel Jackson, 49, of Valley – Failure to appear in court (DUI) – April 29
Joseph Christopher Poore, 41, of Heflin – Five counts of first-degree theft of property – April 29 – This arrest is connected to the April 24 report from County Road 271 involving multiple stolen vehicles, including a black 1980 Ford truck, white and maroon 1989 Dodge Ram van, primer gray 1981 Nissan truck, white 1987 Chevrolet truck, and the Toyota truck reported stolen on April 29.

Roanoke arrests
Michael Dylan Jones, 32 – disorderly conduct, resisting arrest – April 28
Anthony Bernard Holiday, 53 – failure to appear in court on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia – April 28
Joshua Matthew Pinkard, 28 – three counts of failure to appear in court on traffic-related offenses – May 1
Marques Semaj Nunn, 32 – simple domestic assault – May 2
Evelyn Oliva, 31 – simple domestic assault – May 2
Robert Lewis Nelson, Jr., 32 – failure to appear in court on a child support charge.
