During the time period ending on March 3
A RCSO deputy attempted to pull over a white Ford Crown Victoria at Graham Feb. 29 because it had a headlight out. The driver would not stop. He turned onto County Road 435, turned the vehicle’s lights off, then turned onto County Road 502, where it stopped at a residence with a trailer behind it. The deputy looked around outside for the driver, but could not find anyone. The deputy noticed the vehicle was still running and still in drive. It had struck the house, but did not do much damage. The deputy spoke with the resident of the house who said she did not know whose car it was. Drugs and drug paraphernalia were found inside the car. A suspect has been identified, but no arrests have been made at this time.
A burglary was reported at a camper on Pineywoods Drive, Wedowee. A rifle, two muzzle loaders and totes containing trading cards were taken.
A complainant reported he was bitten by a black wire-haired dog while walking in front of Big K Campground near Transco. The victim said he was going to the hospital to have it checked out.
A resident of County Road 262 in the Pinetucky area reported on March 2 that he has had trouble with someone breaking into his toolshed. A hand planer, hammer drill with drill bits and car battery charger are among the items missing. The thefts are under investigation.
A resident of County Road 26 near Twin Lakes reported that at approximately 1 a.m. on March 4, he was awakened by about five gunshots outside his home. Bullets had entered the bedroom and also struck a vehicle. The incident is under investigation.
A dog attack was reported on Lovvorn Herren Drive near Foster’s Crossroads. The victim was walking a dog when one of the neighbor’s dogs attacked their dog and knocked the victim down. The victim fought off the dog, which ran home with a chain on. The victim was not hurt, and the dog he was walking had only one puncture mark.
