Incidents and arrest are for the period ending on March 18th
A Roanoke resident awoke early Tuesday morning to find two of his vehicles fully engulfed in flames in his driveway.
Arson is suspected after a 2014 Toyota Tundra and a 1996 Ford F-150 were destroyed by fire around 2:30 Tuesday morning. The fire took place in the driveway at the home of Sergio Smith at 152 Cook Road in Roanoke, where the vehicles were parked just feet away from Smith’s house.
Smith was asleep in his home at the time, and he said his son woke him up to let him know the trucks were on fire.
Smith told officers that he was not aware of anyone who would have a reason to set his trucks on fire. He also told them that he has a security camera installed on his front door, but he had turned the camera off so the notifications wouldn’t wake him up overnight.
