Jennetta G. Hill Boring
(LINEVILLE) Funeral services for Jennetta G. Hill Boring, 76 of Lineville, were held on Sunday, Oct. 1, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Stacy Cantrell and Bro. David Holcombe officiating. Burial followed at the adjoining cemetery.
She went home to be with her sweet Jesus on Sept. 28. Jennetta graduated from Osbourne High School in Cobb County, Ga., in 1965. She married her high school sweetheart in May of 1979. She called him her Prince Charming in the form of a true cowboy. For 26 years, Jennetta worked at the Randolph County Health Department. She happily retired to keep her very first grandchild. Jennetta had two daughters and two sons. Her greatest pride and joy was in her four grandchildren. She was blessed to keep them from birth until they started school. More importantly, she was completely involved in their lives until the day she went home to be with our Lord. There was truly no place she ever wanted to be more than with her babies. She loved reading, shopping, watching Heartland, and traveling with her family. Jennetta’s relationship with her family was one that cannot fully be understood, and can only be compared to the love we all share with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The example of love that she shared not only touched the lives of each and every one of her family members but anyone that ever knew her – even if they only met her once. Her love for Jesus and dedication to serving him carried her throughout her life. And will continue on through her family. The loss that her family feels is indescribable. There will never be another like our sweet Nana.
But we rejoice with the knowledge that she is home. She is without pain, or worry, or strife. She is with the one who loves her more that any person on earth does, as unfathomable as that might be. Her family will miss her for the rest of their days, but know they will see her soon and what a day that will be.
She is survived by her husband Bob Boring of Lineville; two daughters, Shannon Cantrell of Lineville and April Sims of Lineville; sons, Stacy Cantrell and Justin Farguson; four grandchildren, Allie Cantrell, Abbey Cantrell, Mackenzie Sims, and Elijah Cantrell; sister, Avice Farguson(Jimmy) of Mellow Valley; two sisters-in-law, Catherine Williamson and Debbie Hill; several extended family members and a host of friends.
Mrs. Boring is preceded in death by her parents, JD Hill, Jr. and Margaret Hill Griffin and two brothers, Fred Hill and Greg Hill.
Pallbearers were Tony Hill, Anthony Caldwell, Nathan Calhoun, Jeff Griffin, Erin Smith and Allen Hill. Honorary pallbearers are Justin Farguson and Elijah Cantrell.
Benefield Funeral Home of Lineville is in charge of the arrangements.
