Wadley Council approves donations
At last week’s Wadley Town Council meeting, the council approved several donations from the town to various organizations. The donations included $500 to Randolph County Learning Center and $1,200 to Don Strength for live weather broadcasting.
In other business, the council:
Adopted a resolution honoring Coach Carter Mays.
Declared a Land Pride mower surplus property.
Approved the purchase of a new scoreboard for the recreation field at a cost of $5,751. It was noted that parts were no longer available for repair of the old one.
Adopted a proclamation designating May as Older American’s Month
Approved for business owner Lisa Carson of Corner 56 to place a dumpster at her business and share with 56 nutrition
Scheduled the next meeting for Monday, May 1 at 5 p.m.
