Roanoke woman injured in Country Club Road accident

A single car accident Sunday night on Country Club Road in Roanoke led to a Roanoke woman being airlifted to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.

Naslie Shante Parker, 36, was driving on Country Club Road around 5 p.m. when she lost control of the 2003 Honda Accord she was driving. The car left the roadway then crossed back over and struck a tree head on.

When officers arrived they found Parker “on her back, headfirst in the passenger floorboard,” according the report from the Roanoke Police Department. “Impact with the tree caused the dash to collapse downward, and the driver’s head was trapped under the dash.”

The report noted that Parker was talking with officers but was in severe pain. Parker was stabilized before she was removed from the car and was then transported by helicopter to Grady.
