Frog Level Music Festival logo unveiled at Wedowee Council meeting
WEDOWEE – The official logo of the annual Frog Level Music Festival in Wedowee was unveiled at last week’s council meeting.
The Randolph County High School Art Club held a contest for students to draw their own logo. Vena Thackston was recognized as the first winner of the logo contest. Her artwork will be used to promote the 2022 festival. The design will be featured on the back of this year’s T-shirts and will appear on signs, banners, newspaper ads and all social media posts leading up to the event.
For her efforts Vena received a $25 check in addition to other prizes. Other participants in this year’s contest were Haley Ferguson, Jess Gaines and Sara White. They will each receive gift certificates from Miss Amber’s and First Light Coffee. The Wedowee Town Council thanks all the participants and Donna Phillips, art club sponsor at RCHS. The art club will also receive a $100 donation.
In council business before the logo was unveiled, the council agreed to declare a 1985 firetruck as surplus property. Mayor Tim Coe stated the truck is no longer road worthy.
