Wadley Council approves abandoned streets

WADLEY – At last week’s meeting of Wadley Town Council, the council approved to abandon some streets in the town that had already been abandoned but the minutes that reflect this action have not been found.

The five streets abandoned are South Berry Street, Pyne Street, South Tallapoosa Street, South Main Street and Hodge Street.

In other business, the council:

• Approved a donation in the amount of $250 to Randolph County Volunteer Firefighters Association for their annual appreciation awards banquet on March 19.
• Approved the Severe Weather Tax Holidays Feb. 25-27.
