Wilma Jean Williams Hughes
(CARROLLTON, Ga.) Wilma Jean Williams Hughes, 89 of Carrollton, Ga., died Saturday, May 23, 2020.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. EDT Wednesday, May 27, at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery in Carrollton with the Rev. Mike Reeves officiating.
Mrs. Hughes was born in Randolph County, Ala., on Oct. 15, 1930, the daughter of Emmett Wesley Williams and Willie Lois McCleod Williams. She worked as a seamstress at Hubbard’s Pant Co. and was a faithful member of Beulah Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Jimmy Walker; grandchildren, Shannon Waters, Brandon Handley and Kevin Tuley; great-grandson, Mason Waters; cousin, Pam Duffey; sisters, Peggy Patterson, Glenda Haddock and Eura Brock; as well as many other extended family and friends. Besides her parents, Mrs. Hughes was preceded in death by three sisters, Eunice, Mavis and Ruth.
Al Waters, Brandon Handley, David Handley, Aubrey Duffey, Mason Waters and Jerry Whisenhunt will serve as pallbearers.
