Total loss

A building associated with East Avenue Church of God on Avenue A in Roanoke burned to the ground Friday. The building was being torn down by a private party when the blaze began and quickly raged out of control. Roanoke Fire chief Ronald Cameron (pictured, with hose) helped contain the fire.
