Billy Towler

(ROANOKE) The funeral for Billy Towler, 61, of Roanoke will be Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Quattlebaum Funeral Home. The Reverend Mark Brand will officiate.

The family will receive friends Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Towler died Tuesday, Feb. 18, at East Alabama Medical Center.

Mr. Towler was born Feb. 3, 1959, in Roanoke, the son of the late James Billy Towler Sr. and Earla Joyce Bailey Harpe. A member of Handley Avenue Church of God, Billy enjoyed his grandchildren, being outdoors and grilling. His favorite football team was the Auburn Tigers.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela Norred Towler; four sons, Rodney Towler of Cragford, Randall Towler (Traci) of Hogansville, Ga., Charlie Towler (Kelley) of Heard County, Ga., and Glenn Towler (Ashley) of LaGrange, Ga.; three stepsons, Alan Moore of Gadsden, Brandon Moore of Piedmont and Chad Moore of Batesville, Ind.; 10 grandchildren, Tori Mobley (D.J.), Jobie Traylor, Ryan Thacker, Jordan Smith, Andrew Fordham, Grace Fordham, Caleigh Towler, Mason Towler, Luke Towler and Jacob Towler; seven step-grandchildren; sister, Wanda Mapp; special nephew, Chuck Mapp; and uncle, Carey Bailey. He was preceded in death by his sister, Rhonda Puckett.
