Evis Bearden Lindley

(WEDOWEE) Funeral services for Mrs. Evis Bearden Lindley, 95, of Wedowee will be Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2019, at 2 p.m. at Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church with Dr. Steve Dempsey, Brian Lindley and Dr. Pete Frames officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:30 to 8 p.m. on Monday. Mrs. Lindley will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services on Tuesday.

Mrs. Lindley died Saturday, Jan. 26, at Tanner East Alabama.

A lifelong resident of Randolph Co., Mrs. Lindley was born Dec. 6, 1923, the daughter of Jack and Nancy E. White Bearden. She was a member of Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church and had worked as a seamstress at Higgins Slack.

She is survived by two daughters, Pat Albright (husband, Jerry) of Wedowee and Geraldine Rollins (husband, Tom) of Anniston; two sons, Eddie Lindley (wife, Deborah) and Jerry Lindley (wife, Marlene), both of Wedowee; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy Lindley; five sisters and six brothers.

Pallbearers will be Chris Lindley, Brian Lindley, Tim Rollins, Heath Albright, Brian Harden and Scott Norton.
