Shirley Huey Gantt

(LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga.) Funeral services for Shirley Huey Gantt, 82, of Lawrenceville, Ga., were Thursday, Oct. 18, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mark Tanner officiating. Burial followed at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke.

Ms. Gantt passed away Saturday, Oct. 13, at Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville.

A former resident of Randolph County, Ms. Gantt was born Jan. 15, 1936, the daughter of Luke Huey and Lillie Mae Simonton Huey. She graduated from Handley High School in 1954 and was a homemaker.

Survivors include one daughter, Karen Gantt Tanner (Mark) of Atlanta; two sons, Chris Gantt (Joan) of Decatur, Ga., and Craig Gantt of Winder, Ga.; and four grandchildren, Krista Walker, Amanda Tanner, Landon Gantt and Pressley Gantt. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Helen Hood.

Pallbearers were Landon Gantt, Andrew Walker, Chris Gantt, Craig Gantt, Mark Tanner and Jack Ryer.
