Rupirt ‘Butch’ Weaver

(WOODLAND) Rupirt “Butch” Weaver of Woodland died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2018. He was 71.

The funeral will be Friday, Aug. 24, at noon EDT at Pine Hill Christian Church, Newell. Bro. Henry Puckett and Bro. Jeff Pate will officiate. Music will be rendered by Judy Hand and Mary Lois Loftin. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from

5 to 8 p.m. EDT.

Mr. Weaver was born July 13, 1947, in Rome, Ga., to the late Byron and Edna Weaver. He held several jobs during his life, from working in the grocery business to driving a truck, but he retired as a mechanic after working with his brother at Weaver’s Auto Repair in Carrollton, Ga. He was a member of Pine Hill Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Weaver; children, Mark Weaver, Jody Weaver and Amy Weaver; brothers and sisters, Allen Weaver, Gerald Weaver, Donald Weaver, Lenora Weaver and Renee Weaver; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Greg Edwards, Gerold Weaver, Donald Weaver, Allen Weaver, Tim Iverson and Willard Loftin will serve as pallbearers. The employees and caregivers from Compassus Hospice will have special seating as honorary pallbearers.
