Sara Jane McGill

(WADLEY) Sara Jane McGill of Wadley went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 25, 2018.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. CDT Tuesday, May 29, at Pleasant Hill Community Church in Wadley. Burial will follow there at the church cemetery.

The gathering of family and friends will be Monday from 6-8 p.m. EDT in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary.

Ms. McGill was born Sept. 25, 1939, in LaGrange, Ga., to the late Dewey and Julia Pittman. Ms. McGill was a member of Pleasant Hill Community Church in Wadley. She was a graduate of Troup High School and Troup Technical College and a retiree from Pathways Service Center in LaGrange as a supervisor.

Ms. McGill is survived by her brothers, Allen Pittman and Howard Pittman; daughters Kim Phillips and Candy Noles (Corey); son, Chris McGill (Marianne); grandchildren Brandon McGill, Tyler Clifton (Ashley), Kayleigh Phillips, Brett Starling and Levi Noles (Katlyn); and seven great-grandchildren. Ms. McGill was preceded in death by her husband, George W. McGill Jr.; sisters, Helen Pittman, Peggy Pittman and Mildred Peacock; brothers, Jimmy Pittman, Cecil Pittman, Earl Pittman, Thomas Pittman, Wiley Pittman, Harold Pittman and J.C. Pittman.
