Eddie Burke

(ROCK MILLS) Funeral services for Eddie Burke, 73, of Rock Mills will be Saturday, April 28, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Mike Brewer and Keith Benefield officiating. Burial will follow at Rock Mills Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday.

Mr. Burke died Tuesday, April 24, at his residence.

A Randolph County native, Mr. Burke was born Sept. 1, 1944, the son of Willie D. Burke and Ruby Nell Burke Hendrix. He was a member of Midway Full Gospel Church, worked at Interface as a coder/operator and loved fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Samantha R. Burke of Roanoke; three daughters, Tabatha Rushing and Gabby Benefield (Justin), both of Woodland, and Melissa Halsey (Stoney) of Roanoke; seven grandchildren; and three brothers, Lamar Hand, Terry Hand and Richard Hand, all of Rock Mills. Mr. Burke was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Buddy Burke.

Pallbearers will be Scotty Hand, James Hand, Billy Pike, Jeff Hand, Dale Hand, Chad Bennett and Eric Hand.
