Escaped county jail inmate captured

A Randolph County Jail inmate was captured on Friday of last week after walking away from a work detail on Wednesday.

Shannon Gregory Hendricks, 41, is charged with second-degree escape. Hendricks had been scheduled to be released next month from jail. A tip to authorities led to his arrest at a residence on Louina Road in Roanoke.
