Virgil Lee Spears Sr.

(VALLEY) Virgil Lee Spears Sr., 76, of Valley, died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.

The family will announce a service at a later date.

Mr. Spears was born Sept. 7, 1941, in Randolph County to the late Leon and Mindy Lou Spears. He was of the Baptist faith. He was great with his hands and could fix almost anything. He was a generous man who loved his family and his three puppies.

Mr. Spears is survived by his wife of 55 years, Joyce Spears; two sons, Virgil Lee Spears Jr. and Glenn Wayne Spears (Iva); four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one brother and two sisters.
