William David Cantrell
(ROANOKE) William David Cantrell, 60, of Roanoke died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, at his home.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. EST Thursday, Jan. 4, in the chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, Ga., with Ben Brimer officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-2 p.m. Thursday.
Mr. Cantrell was born Feb. 10, 1957, in LaGrange, Ga., son of the late William and Joanne Smith Cantrell. A veteran of service in the U.S. Navy, he lived in Coweta County, Ga., before making his home in Roanoke and was a self-employed drywall contractor.
Survivors include his children, Shirley Brimer (Ben) of Sharpsburg, Ga., Jason Moore, Jeremy “Bo” Cantrell (Paige), Jessica Morris (Chris) and Tony Cantrell, all of Roanoke; former daughter in-law, Judy Millar; 12 grandchildren; sisters, Nawana Winkles of Wedowee and Felicia Doler of Wadley; and brother, Randy Cantrell of Roanoke. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Ann Washburn Cantrell, and son,William Scott Cantrell.
