County school board hires personnel

WEDOWEE–Randolph County Board of Education took care of some pressing personnel business during a called meeting on Thursday afternoon of last week.

Jimmie Fryer was hired as the new assistant principal of Woodland High School. Fryer, who is a graduate of Troy University, comes to Randolph County with experience as a central office administrator in Conecuh County and as a superintendent, principal, assistant principal and math teacher in Barbour County. He replaces former assistant principal Keith Smith, who was named principal of Woodland Elementary.

Also hired were LeSandra Williams as sixth-grade math teacher at Wedowee Middle School and Amanda Caldwell as custodian at Woodland Elementary.
