Development Authority decides on director
Members of the Randolph County Economic Development Authority selected an executive director at the Monday night meeting and the person will start July 10, according to secretary Bob Siverson.
The name is being kept confidential until the person turns in notice to his or her employer. Everyone voted in favor of the person put forward by the search committee. Siverson said the resume looks good and there was a lot of discussion about the candidate’s experience, knowing people and being ready to take the position.
The person was notified after the meeting and was excited to come to Randolph County, he said.
The next meeting is July 10 at 5 p.m. at the building on U.S. Highway 431.
