Utilities mapping project complete

Roanoke Utilities Board general manager Jerry Revis said the recent Municipal Gas Authority of Georgia meeting was a good meeting and they are through with the mapping project. He met with Michael Hughes and said he was impressed because the mapping project shows every meter, fire hydrant and valve in town.

Revis said they have installed two new meters–one at Candlewick and one at Peachtree Apartments. Field supervisor Brent Wilson said it is the most accurate meter he has seen. They also put in a new meter at a restaurant.

Revis said the construction of the clear well water tank is coming along well. He said there are new cracks in the old clear well so they need to move fast.
