James Elbert Houston

(NEWELL) Funeral service for James Elbert Houston, 58, will be Thursday, May 4, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Oak Grove Worship Center with minister Brenda Montgomery officiating and pastor Frederick Brown eulogist. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Houston’s remains will arrive at the church one hour prior to his service.

Mr. Houston died April 28 at UAB Hospital.

Mr. Houston graduated from Randolph County High School and was employed at Koch Foods.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Houston; his mother, Erris Houston; siblings, Pamela Jackson, Jeffery Houston, Rev. Verlon Houston and Fred Houston; all in-laws, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, James Franklin Houston.
