Thomas H. ‘Rusty’ Arrington

(WOODLAND) Funeral services for Thomas H. “Rusty” Arrington, age 61, of Woodland will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Benefield Funeral Chapel with the Rev. David Daniel and the Rev. Jerry Long officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 6.

Mr. Arrington passed away Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017, at Wedowee Hospital.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy Gay Arrington of Woodland; two sons, Theron James Arrington (wife, Jessica) of Woodland and Thomas Logan Arrington (wife, Brittany) of Tallahassee, Fla.; one grandchild, Brylee Lynn Arrington; father-in-law and mother-in-law, James M. and Clara Gay of Roanoke; one sister, Shannon Long (husband, Jerry) of Batesville, Miss.; three brothers, Kenny Arrington and Scotty Arrington (wife, Christa), both of Woodland, and Timmy Arrington of Bowdon, Ga.; and two special aunts, Katrina Arrington and Brenda Hodge.

Honorary pallbearers will be Truett Hunting Club.

A long-time Randolph County resident, Mr. Arrington was born in Goodwater, Ala., on Nov. 12 1955, the son of Theron Thomas and Alva Jean Bailey Arrington. He worked as an electrician and plumber for Whitmore Plumbing and Electric and was a member of the Truett Hunting Club. Mr. Arrington was preceded in death by his parents.
