Myra Daniel Seawright

(ROANOKE) Myra Daniel Seawright, 81, of Roanoke, formerly of Valley, died Tuesday, June 28, at Traylor Nursing Center.

Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday, July 1, at the Old Fredonia Cemetery with the Rev. Don Downs officiating.

She was born in Chambers County March 21, 1935, to the late Roland Griffin Daniel and the late Ruby Nell Fetner Daniel and was a member of West End Baptist Church in Valley. She worked as a waitress for many years at Shoney’s and Denny’s. She then took to her true calling as a caregiver; even in the nursing home, she would help the nurses and CNA staff.

She is survived by six daughters and their husbands, Ruby Akins (Buddy) and Janet Norred (Ricky), both of Roanoke, Lucy Mozart of Smyrna, Ga., Patsy Cotton and Bonnie Williams, both of Beauregard, and Myra Beth Allen of Huguley; 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Lewis Seawright.
