Opal McGill Moncus
(WADLEY) Graveside services for Opal McGill Moncus, 86, of Wadley will be Sunday, June 19, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Pine Grove Cemetery in Wadley with the Rev. Joe Mallory officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday.
Mrs. Moncus died Friday, June 17, at Dadeville Healthcare Center.
A Randolph county native, Mrs. Moncus was born Sept. 7, 1929, the daughter of Edd and Mollie Camp McGill. She was a member of Almond United Methodist Church and was a homemaker.
Survivors include: two daughters, Vicki Wade of Camp Hill and Christie Young (husband, David) of Port St. Joe, Fla.; one son, Ed Moncus (wife, Rita) of Rogersville; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Macie Hodges of Wadley. Mrs. Moncus was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Brunner Moncus; one son, Earl Moncus; one son-in-law, Jim Wade; two grandchildren; a brother, R.J. McGill; and two sisters, Maude Caldwell and Nonnie Reese.
Pallbearers will be Mack Moncus, Clint Wade, Pat Wade, Jeni Young, Tori Young, Jordan Wade, Peyton Wade, London Wade, Christopher Wade, and Caelan Wade.
