Dera Rush Kaylor

(ROANOKE) Funeral services for Dera Rush Kaylor, 85, of Roanoke, will be Sunday, May 15, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Robert Warren and Wes Kinsey officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Graham.

Mrs. Kaylor died Friday, May 13, at Wedowee Hospital.

A Buchanan, Ga., native, Mrs. Kaylor was born Nov. 3, 1930, the daughter of Charlie and Vera Brummitt Rush. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and had worked for Bremen Bowdon Investment Company as a textile sewing machine operator.

Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Huddleston (husband, Randy) of Roanoke; one son, Larry Kaylor of Roanoke; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Patsy Rush of Pennsylvania and Madge Cusins of North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Lindy Kaylor; two sons, Terry Linsey and Perry Alan; four sisters, Dolly McDowell, Mary Smith, Anthey Mayner and Jewell Kaylor; and two brothers, Ules Rush and Curtis Rush.

Pallbearers will be Logan Daniel, Andrew Norred, Brandon Arrington, Nickolas Kaylor, Bo Harper and Adam Kaylor.
