Virginia McSwain McDaniel

(GAFFNEY, S.C.) Virginia McSwain McDaniel, 70, of Gaffney, S.C., died Sunday, Oct. 11, 2015, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Born in Gaffney, she was the wife of Ferman McDaniel and daughter of the late Walter Cleve McSwain and Lula Waddell McSwain. Mrs. McDaniel was previously employed by Fiber Industries, a homemaker and member of Midway Baptist Church.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, is a daughter, Anita Blackwood of Wedowee; a sister, Pat McDaniel of Gaffney; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Davis.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 14, in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Vernon Craig. Interment will be in Midway Baptist Church Cemetery.
