Loyette Garrett Walls

(LaGRANGE, Ga.) Loyette Garrett Walls, 85, of LaGrange, Ga., died Sunday, Sept. 6, 2015, at West Georgia Hospice.

The funeral will be at 4 p.m. EDT Tuesday, Sept. 8, in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary with the Rev. Donnie Benefield officiating. Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery.

Ms. Walls was born Oct. 27, 1929, in Roanoke, daughter of the late Vollie Terrell Hester and Ruby Benefield Jones. She was a member of Ayres United Methodist Church and was employed with Playtex International before retiring.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Tommy Kacharos and Tammy and William Lackey; daughter-in-law, Brenda Bowen; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Bowen.

The gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday from 3-4 p.m. EDT at the funeral home.
