Kathy Ann Mejia

(ROANOKE) Funeral services for Kathy Ann Mejia, 47, of Roanoke will be Sunday, March 15, 2015, at 2 p.m. at  Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Jimmy Brand and Mike Brewer officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Ms. Mejia died Thursday, March 12, at her residence.

A Randolph County native, Ms. Mejia was born Oct. 7, 1967, the daughter of Gussie Clark and Vera Smith Mulkey. She worked as an LPN for Randolph County Hospital, Traylor Nursing Center and Clay County Hospital.

Survivors include: one daughter, Angela Flores of Roanoke; one grandson, Timothy Wayne Flores; mother and stepfather, Vera and Virgil Mulkey of Roanoke; and grandmother, Ann White of Roanoke. Ms. Mejia was preceded in death by her father.

Pallbearers will be Anel Corvorabius, Larry Clark, Marcial Antonio, Jonathan Garrett, David Windsor, James Waldrep, Richard Ward and Micheal Goss.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday. Ms. Mejia will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on Sunday. Online condolences may be expressed at www.quattlebaumfuneralhome.com.
