Louie Timothy Mitchell Sr.

(WEDOWEE) Funeral services for Louie Timothy Mitchell Sr., 86, of Wedowee will be Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014, at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Minister Jim Sherman officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Church of Christ Cemetery.

Mr. Mitchell died Monday, Dec. 15, at his residence.

He was a native of Randolph County. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed at Kroger as a meat cutter in Jonesboro, Ga. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force, where he served during the Korean War. He had been a member of Liberty Church of Christ since 1991.

He is survived by a son, Tim Mitchell Jr. of Lineville; three daughters, Trina King of Stockbridge, Ga., Donna Barnette of Atlanta and Tonya Hudson of Hollins; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren, six sisters and one brother. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean Mitchell.

Serving as pallbearers for Mr. Mitchell will be grandsons and great-grandsons.
