Katherine Bolt

(WEDOWEE) Funeral services for Katherine Bolt, 84, of Wedowee will be Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Bethel West Baptist Church with the Rev. David Holcombe officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.

Mrs. Bolt died Tuesday, Dec. 2, at Wedowee Hospital.

A Randolph County native, Mrs. Bolt was born March 25, 1930, the daughter of Ernest and Lillie Pate Pool. She was a member of Bethel West Baptist Church and worked as a seamstress for Higgins Slack Company.

Survivors include one daughter, Darlene Brown of Crossville, Tenn.; one son, Sherlon Bolt of Wedowee; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Bolt was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cleamon Bolt; two sons, Stanley and Stevie Bolt; two sisters and one brother.

Pallbearers will be Chris McCain, Lanny Bolt, Lance Bolt, Rodney Davenport, Levi Brown, Mark Kirby and Bobby Bolt.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday. Mrs. Bolt will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on Thursday. Online condolences may be expressed at www.benefieldfhwedowee.com.
