Frances Marie Farr Sawyer

(ROANOKE) Frances Marie Farr Sawyer, 67, of Roanoke, formerly of Robbinsville, N.C., died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014, in Robbinsville.

Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, at the Townson-Smith Chapel. The Rev. Jimmy Millsaps will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel prior to the service. Committal services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, at Lower Yellow Creek Cemetery.

She is survived by her son, Jeff Sawyer of Roanoke; one grandson and two granddaughters; her sisters, Opal Blackmon and Freddie McCard, both of Roanoke; and her brother, Donald Farr of Roanoke. She was the daughter of the late Britt and Leola Hallman Farr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Sawyer Jr.; her daughter, Cindy Sawyer Moore; her brothers, Howard Farr, Jimmy Farr and Lindsey Farr; and her sister, Virginia Yates.
