Willis Parson
(TEMPLE, Ga.) Willis Parson, 77, of Temple, Ga., died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
The funeral was Tuesday, Nov. 4, at 2 p.m. EDT at J. Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Keaton officiating. Music was provided by Bonnie Sanders. Interment followed in Center Point Community Cemetery, Temple.
Mr. Parsons was born June 26, 1937, in Paulding County, Ga., the son of the late Thomas Jake Parson and Alcie Jo Johnson Parson. He worked as a self-employed mechanic for a number of years and was a member of Abilene Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Winkles Parson; children, Gene and Michelle Parson of Woodland, Ala., Barry and Karin Parson of Roopville, Ga., and Sylvia and James Kelly of Villa Rica, Ga.; brothers, Henry Parson, Eddie Parson and James Parson, all of Dallas, Ga.; sisters, Judy Parson of Temple and Barbara Jean Windom and Betty Jackson, both of Dallas; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jo Ellen Brown.
Henry Parson, Jacob Parson, Devin Mooney, Dillan Mooney, Isaac Parson and Joe Ryals served as pallbearers.
