Willie Jackson ‘Jack’ Cole

(ROANOKE) Funeral services for Willie Jackson “Jack” Cole, 88, of Roanoke will be Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2014, at 11 a.m. Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Charles Fetner and J. Carlin Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery.

Mr. Cole died Sunday, Oct. 19, at Traylor’s Nursing Center.

A Roanoke native, Mr. Cole was born Jan. 8, 1926, the son of William Robert Cole Sr. and Lilly Maude Slaughter Cole. He was a member of Liberty East Baptist Church and was a retired parts room clerk for Stran Building Systems.

Survivors include his wife, Rubie Mitchell Cole of Roanoke; one son, Barry Cole; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Lurline Cole of Roanoke. Mr. Cole was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Lula Maude Mitchell and Lila Mae Cole; and two brothers, Charlie Frank Cole and William Robert Cole, Jr.
