Georgia Lee Thomas

(LaFAYETTE) Georgia Lee Thomas, 90, of LaFayette died Thursday, May 29, 2014, at her residence.

The funeral will be Wednesday, June 4, at 1 p.m. at New Mt. Sellers Baptist Church, LaFayette, with the Rev. Terry Magby officiating. Burial will follow at the old New Mt. Sellers Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Thomas is survived by seven sons and their wives, William and Doris Thomas, Charles and Millie Thomas, Bobby Thomas, Rev. Jimmy and Christine Thomas, John K. Thomas and LaWard Thomas, all of LaFayette, and Eddie James and Rona Thomas of Opelika; five daughters, Mary Julia Meadows, Hattie Fell, Mary Lois Thomas, Mary Lee Thomas and Brenda Thomas, all of LaFayette; one brother, Willie Frank Harris of Atlanta; three sisters, Lillie Gibson of Roanoke and Barbara Jean Harris and Shirley Baker, both of Opelika; 30 grandchildren;69 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
