Brenda Joyce Allen

(HEFLIN) Funeral services for Brenda Joyce Allen, 56, of Heflin will be Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Benefield Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Phillip Patterson and Roger Florence officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland First Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Allen died Monday, Feb. 17, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham.

A Chambers County native, Mrs. Allen was born Dec. 26, 1957, the daughter of Jeff and Maudine Hanner Hunter.

She is survived by her husband, Stanley Allen of Heflin; one daughter, Mandy Allen of Woodland; one son, David Allen of Carrollton, Ga.; one sister, Jean Cantrell of Woodland; three brothers, Russell Hunter of Ranburne and Wayne Hunter and Randy Hunter, both of Wedowee; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 19. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Mrs. Allen’s funeral bill. Online condolences may be expressed at www.benefieldfhwedowee.com.
