Robert Johnson
(ROANOKE) Robert Johnson, 46, a native and former resident of Wedowee, currently residing in Roanoke, died unexpectedly on Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, at Wedowee Hospital.
The celebration of life was Friday, Dec. 13, at noon at Union Chapel United Methodist Church, Wedowee, with the pastor, Rev. Charles Wood, officiating. Elder John C. Greathouse served as eulogist. Other ministers sharing the roster included William Heard and Randall Nunn. Burial followed in Union Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Wedowee.
Mr. Johnson was born in Wedowee on Dec. 12, 1965, to the late I.V. Johnson and Sarah Frances Patillo Johnson. His attended school in Wedowee. For several years, he was a member of Pure Holiness Church of God in Roanoke.
Robert retired from Mohawk Industries in Roanoke.
Robert is survived by two brothers, Jimmy Clark of Heflin and Datarious Farley of Atlanta; six sisters, Rosie Lee Johnson of Oxford, Angelia Denny and Rochelle Tatum, both of Wedowee, Yvette Wallace and Kartarious Farley, both of Atlanta, and Sandra Baggin of Woodland; a special friend, Dawn Houston of Roanoke; several nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by three brothers, John Wayne Patillo, Ricky L. Clark and Melvin Johnson.
