Gladys Faye Wilson

(WOODLAND) Funeral services for Gladys Faye Wilson, 83, of Woodland will be Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Liberty Grove Congregational Methodist Church with the Revs. Greg Norred and Bobby Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Wilson died Wednesday, Aug. 28, at her residence.

A Louisiana native, Mrs. Wilson was born Feb. 22, 1930, the daughter of Robert E. and Gertrude Davis Polke. She was a member of Liberty Grove Congregational Methodist Church and retired as an LPN from Randolph Medical Center.

Survivors include her husband, Huel Wilson of Woodland; one daughter, Linda Armstrong of Woodland; one son, Larry Kile of Melbourne, Fla.; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bobbie Kile of Jonesboro, Texas, and Shirley Cox of Shreveport, La. Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Robert Wayne Wilson; and one brother, Ray Polke.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Rampy, Michael Rampy, John Holmes, Frank Wilson, Mark Kirby and Wendell Parmer.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 31. Mrs. Wilson will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on Monday.
