Annie Blanche Benefield

(WEDOWEE) Funeral services for Annie Blanche Benefield, 78, of Wedowee will be Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Woodland Church of God with Sis. Carolyn Hanner and the Revs. Jody Overton and Keith Benefield officiating. Burial will follow in Potash Cemetery Church of God Cemetery, Roanoke.

Mrs. Benefield died Sunday, June 30, at Lineville Health and Rehabilitation.

A Randolph County native, Mrs. Benefield was born Oct. 11, 1934, daughter of William and Minnie Wood Holloway. She was a self-employed homemaker. Mrs. Benefield was a member of Woodland Church of God.

Survivors include her husband, Ray Benefield of Wedowee; two daughters, Freda Benefield King and Laila Benefield, both of Wedowee; two sons, Randy Benefield of Centralhatchee, Ga., and Layden Benefield of Wedowee; one sister, Betty Fox of Columbus, Ga.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Benefield was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Rebecca Grant; one sister, Myrtie Hinkle; and two brothers, Walter Holloway and Erwin Holloway.

Pallbearers will be Jamie Benefield, Gene Benefield, Nathan Sikes, Clark Benefield, Robert Benefield and Justin Benefield.

The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home Monday, July 1, from 5-8 p.m. Mrs. Benefield will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning at 1 p.m. Online condolences may be expressed at www.benefieldfhwedowee.com.
