Myra Jo Burch Gantt

(ROANOKE) Myra Jo Burch Gantt, 71, of Roanoke and formerly of Hayesville, N.C., died Sunday, June 23, in Roanoke.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 27,at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville with Bro. Caleb Taft officiating. Burial will be in Ledfords Chapel Cemetery in Hayesville.

Born Jan. 13, 1942, she was a native of Cherokee County, N.C., but was raised in Clay County. Myra had worked as a secretary for Atlanta Georgia Gas and Light Company.

She is survived by three daughters, Cindy Dolberry of the Florida Keys, Lenee Gantt of Franklin, Ga., and Jolie Taft of Roanoke; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one infant son.

Pallbearers will be Joe Waldroup, Danny Burch, Darren Cook, Adam Hyatt, John Hyatt and Anthony Tucker.
