Stanley Lee Gentry
(CARROLLTON, Ga.) Stanley Lee Gentry, 60, of Carrollton, Ga., died Friday, April 19, 2013, at Tanner Medical Center from a massive heart attack.
The funeral was Sunday, April 21, 2013, at 3 p.m. with the Revs. Gary Stewart and Tony Sullivan officiating. Interment followed in Carrollton City Cemetery with Ron Martin speaking at graveside.
Mr. Gentry was born Dec. 3, 1952, in Carrollton to Stanley Gentry and Annie Barrentine Gentry. He was a graduate of West Georgia College and a CPA. Mr. Gentry served proudly in the U.S. Army and received the National Defense Service Medal.
Survivors include his wife, Rosie Kimbrell Gentry; children, Phillip and Lakeyda Geter of Cullman, Richard and Jennifer Geter of Woodland, Ala., Sam and Becky Gentry of Carrollton and Garrett Gentry of Atlanta; sister, Shelia Dowda of Villa Rica, Ga.; brother, David Gentry of Winston, Ga.; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one niece; and one great-niece. He was preceded in death by both his parents.
Pallbearers were Dennis Sullivan, Larry McKenzie, Billy Hannah, Fred Holmes, Christopher Wilcox and Keith Robinson.
