Judy Kay Shouse

(WEDOWEE) Funeral services for Judy Kay Shouse, 65, of Wedowee will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at Morrison’s Chapel United Methodist Church, Heflin, with the Rev. Bill Henderson officiating. Mrs. Shouse will have a closed casket visitation one hour before the service at the church. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.

Mrs. Shouse died Saturday, Jan. 5, at Wedowee Hospital.

Mrs. Shouse was born June 18, 1947, the daughter of William E. and Sarah G. Strain McCord. She had been a bank manager for BB&T.

Mrs. Shouse is survived by one daughter, Michelle and husband Darrel Leblanc of Wedowee; one son, Jeremy Cooke of New Mexico; mother, Sarah G. McCord; two grandchildren; one sister, Jackie McCord Giffone of Wedowee; and one brother, Steve Ray McCord of Carrollton, Ga. Mrs. Shouse was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Wayne Shouse, and her father.

Pallbearers will be Rocky Giffone, Justin, Jason and Josh McCord, Tommy Holdridge and Mark Bell.
