Man injured after jumping from car
OFELIA–A Lineville man was injured on Thursday afternoon after intentionally jumping out of a moving vehicle.
According to the report from Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, Joel Henry, 38, of Lineville was a passenger in a vehicle going down Highway 48 near County Road 880 in the Ofelia community when he jumped out. He had been arguing with the driver.
Henry was taken to Clay County Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Pedestrian struck
TIN SHOP–A homeless woman was accidentally struck by a vehicle near Tin Shop on Sunday evening.
According to reports, Jennifer Ann Ledbetter, 27, sustained minor injuries after being hit on County Road 59 by a 2000 Mercury driven by Perry Sudduth, who was not hurt.
Ledbetter was later charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
