Trubee L. Smith

(LaGRANGE, Ga.) Mr. Trubee L. Smith, 84, of LaGrange died Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at West Georgia Medical Center.

Mr. Smith was born June 9, 1928, in Randolph County, Ala., son of the late Seabron and Ida Smith. He was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church, a graduate of LaGrange College, and a retired police officer from the City of LaGrange Police Department.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth A. and Cindy Smith; a daughter in law, Charlotte Smith; a granddaughter; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Betty Worley Smith; a son, Derek Smith; a grandson, Brett Smith; a sister, Lorene Wright; and brothers, Marvin Smith, Cooper Smith, Odell Smith and Leroy Smith.

Cryptside services were at 4 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 19, at Shadowlawn Mausoleum with the Rev. Anthony Hovey officiating.
