Marvin Dewey Wright

(LaGRANGE, Ga.) Marvin Dewey Wright, 82, of LaGrange, Ga., died Saturday, July 28, 2012, at Hospice LaGrange.

Mr. Wright was born Dec. 6, 1929, in Heard County, Ga., son of the late Clarence and Esther Noles Wright. He is a veteran of the U.S. Marines and a member at Baptist Tabernacle Church. He owned and operator Wright and Sons Logging.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Wilma Jean Wright; a daughter, Brenda May of LaGrange; two sons, Pete Wright and Mark Wright, both of LaGrange; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Janice Smith of Roanoke, Lois Laster of Fayetteville, Ga., and Ilene Purgerson of Newnan, Ga.; and three brothers, Lewis Wright of South Carolina, Mason Wright of Senoia, Ga., and Sunny Wright of Newnan. He was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Wright; a grandson; and three brothers, James Wright, Leon Wright and Clarence Wright Jr.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. EDT Tuesday, July 31, at Baptist Tabernacle Church with the Rev. Jimmy McMilian officiating. Interment will be held at Shadowlawn Cemetery.
