Mary Bradley Nears

(MT. PLEASANT, Texas) Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 3, 2012, in the Collier-Butler Chapel for Mary Bradley Nears, 89, of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, who died Tuesday, May 29, at Pleasant Springs Healthcare Center. The Rev. L. Dale Butler will officiate, and burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Nears was born on July 26, 1922, in Wedowee. She was a homemaker and mother who loved her family dearly. She had been a member of Lone Star Baptist Church since 1953.

She is survived by sons and their wives, Joe and Sharon Sue Nears of Mt. Pleasant and Henry Marcus and Mary Lee Nears of Smith Point, Texas; daughter and her husband, Anna Marie and William Charles Stevens of New Orleans; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Maurice Lee and Hilda Gittings, both of Wedowee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Howard Nears Sr.; parents, Henry Milford Bradley and Charlotte Kitchens Bradley; eight sisters and one brother.

Pallbearers will be Gary Kump, Randall Stanley, Brad Duncan, Chuck Stevens, Charles Stevens and Curtis Sampson.
