Sue Traylor

(ROANOKE) Funeral services for Sue Traylor, 90, of Roanoke were Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Bill Dean and Gary Baugh officiating. Burial followed at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Traylor died Friday, Jan. 13, at Traylor Nursing Home in Roanoke.

A Randolph County native, Mrs. Traylor was born Sept. 19, 1921, daughter of William P. and Georgia M. King Nix. She was a member of Roanoke First Baptist Church and the co-owner of Traylor Nursing Home.

Survivors include her husband, Benny Hallman of Roanoke; two daughters, Susan Traylor of LaGrange, Ga., and Denise and husband Luis Aguilar of Atlanta; one son, Ronald and wife Barbara Traylor of Roanoke; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, W.J. Traylor; one sister, Mildred Nix Latham; and three brothers, Claris, Carl and Charlie Nix.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association (225 N. Michigan Ave., 17th Floor, Chicago, IL 60601-7633).
